Voice of Customer (VoC) is the discipline of systematically capturing what users need and feeding it into product decisions — turning scattered anecdotes into a reliable signal.
Random feedback is noise. A VoC system categorises, tags, and quantifies feedback so patterns emerge and priorities become obvious.
Capture is half the job. The other half is routing insights to the right team and telling customers what changed — that's what keeps them talking.
The loudest customer isn't always the most representative. Weight feedback by segment value and frequency, not decibels.
My most valuable product contribution before I had the title was being a structured VoC channel — turning daily buyer friction into documented, prioritised input for product and tech.
The customer already knows the problem. A VoC system is how you hear it clearly enough to act.
