🧲 Product-Market Fit

Product-market fit is the moment the market pulls the product out of you — retention flattens, word-of-mouth kicks in, and demand outpaces your ability to serve it.

Sensing PMF

Signals include strong retention curves, organic growth, and the Sean Ellis test (≥40% of users would be 'very disappointed' without it). Before PMF, everything is a hypothesis.

Don't scale too early

Pouring growth spend on a product without fit just accelerates churn. Find the fit first, then build the growth engine.

Narrowing the wedge

PMF usually starts with a sharp segment and a specific problem. Win a narrow beachhead completely before broadening.

From the field

CallEdge was scoped deliberately narrow — Hinglish call QA for one type of team — because fit in a specific wedge beats being generically 'okay' for everyone.

The PM takeaway

You'll feel PMF before you can fully measure it, but measure it anyway — retention is the truth serum.
