📊 Feature Prioritization

Prioritisation is the core PM skill: saying no to good ideas so you can say yes to the best ones. Frameworks make the trade-offs explicit and defensible.

RICE

Score each idea by Reach × Impact × Confidence ÷ Effort. It forces you to quantify assumptions and exposes 'loud' ideas that are actually low-leverage.

Kano model

Classifies features as basic (expected), performance (more is better), or delighters (unexpected wins). It stops you over-investing in table stakes while ignoring differentiators.

MoSCoW & ICE

MoSCoW (Must/Should/Could/Won't) is great for scope negotiation; ICE (Impact, Confidence, Ease) is a fast, lightweight first pass.

From the field

In SalesEdge, the roadmap led with a lead-scoring engine, not fancy dashboards — because RICE-style thinking showed that faster, smarter lead response was the single highest-leverage change on revenue.

The PM takeaway

The framework doesn't decide for you — it makes your reasoning visible so the team can align and challenge it.
